Benefits Coordinator
Job Summary:
The employee benefits coordinator position assists employees with benefits enrollment, answer questions, maintains employee database, and files, and ensures compliance with required benefit notices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident, and death claims.
- Maintain employee benefits files and update employee payroll records.
- Enroll new hires and explain benefits self-enrollment system.
- Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims.
- Complete request for information for National Medical Support Notices.
- Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions.
- Prepare communications (emails and virtual meetings) designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs.
- Assist Benefits Manager with the planning and facilitation of Health Fair's.
- Assist Benefits Manager in completing benefits reporting requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Ability to speak Spanish a plus
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of three years of experience in employee benefits administration.
Salary Range: $31 -$38/hr
