Benefits Coordinator
Job Summary:
The employee benefits coordinator position assists employees with benefits enrollment, answer questions, maintains employee database, and files, and ensures compliance with required benefit notices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident, and death claims.
  • Maintain employee benefits files and update employee payroll records.
  • Enroll new hires and explain benefits self-enrollment system.
  • Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims.
  • Complete request for information for National Medical Support Notices.
  • Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions.
  • Prepare communications (emails and virtual meetings) designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs.
  • Assist Benefits Manager with the planning and facilitation of Health Fair's. 
  • Assist Benefits Manager in completing benefits reporting requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in employee benefits administration.

Salary Range: $31 -$38/hr
