Immediate opening for a Biotech Sales Rep, Northern California Territory, in S. San Francisco, CA who possesses:
- Bachelor's degree in biology, Life Sciences or Chemistry required
- 3+ years of sales experience
- Theoretical knowledge of cell culturing and HPLC
Full Job Description: Maintain and manage specific outside territory by meeting and exceeding sales goals. Manage customer accounts to ensure 'premiere' service and technical support to customers with on-site consultative visits on a regular and ongoing basis. Qualified candidates will cover Primarily: Bay Area & additional territories: Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain pharma/biopharma/biotech accounts.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Conduct on-site customer visits to provide sales information with regards to client products: cell culture, sample preparation (chromatography) and related products
- Ensure that assigned territory meets sales goals
- Develop relationships with new and existing customers
- Sell products in various market segments via direct sales and through distributors
- Actively sell: Local vendor shows, and company sponsored trade shows
- Identify and follow-up with potential new sales leads through social media, the company CRM, customer referrals and email campaigns
- Develop sales strategies for assigned territory including business plans and market analysis
- Have a positive attitude, be a team player, and strive to learn and contribute to company culture
- Manage and maintain information in company CRM
- Perform other job-related duties as requested by customers and/or management
- Limited overnight travel (except sales meetings /attend national conferences)
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Self-starter with strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are critical
- Knowledge of the account base in the geography preferred
- Laboratory hands-on experience preferred
- Basic Knowledge of Cell Culture and/or High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography
- Requires analytical thinking and presenting ideas
- Experience in Microsoft office and a CRM program
- Skilled in the art of negotiation
